In the NFC, the Giants are in control after a big win over the Eagles…and if the Cowboys, currently in the basement of the NFC East, can’t come up win a win at Washington this week, they are in danger of not returning to the playoffs…the dark horse in the NFC may be the Cardinals…Kurt Warner is playing like he did in his MVP days, they can score on anybody, and the MNF win against SF will give them a shot of confidence…In the AFC, the Titans still are undefeated, even with only 20 yds rushing against the Bears…Kerry Collins has shown he can do more than manage the game, he can win it! The NE-NYJ game on Thursday may show who the other power will be in the AFC playoffs…but watch out for the Colts, they are playing better, Peyton Manning is healthy, and that was a huge road win over the Steelers last week…The Ravens should get a gauge of how good they are when they play at the Giants this week…and another Chicago-Green Bay matchup has the division lead on the line…now on to the weeks/years best rookie performers:
Matt Ryan: He looks more and more like the real deal with a passer rating of 89.9 and Atlanta only a game out in the tough NFC South…
Joe Flacco: Another rookie QB with a good passer rating (79.7) and his team tied for the division lead…
Chris Johnson: Held in check by the Bears, but still 1st in rookie rushing, 4th in scoring, 6th in receptions…
Matt Forte: Good performance in a losing effort to the Titans…remains 2nd in rookie rusing and scoring, 3rd in receiving…
Eddie Royal: Monster game last Thursday in Cleveland with a 90 yd td reception…leads rookies in receptions, yds receiving and has 4 tds…
Tim Hightower: Now the starter in Arizona over Edgerrin James…has 7 rushing tds…
BenJarvis Green-Ellis: Still the rookie surprise of the season…4 tds in 4games…he will continue to get a lot of carries…look for a big game against the Jets on Thursday…
Games of the Week: Chicago @ Green Bay, NYJ @ NE, Baltimore @ NYG, Minnesota @ Tampa Bay, Dallas @ Washington…make mine Chicago, NE, NYG, TB and Washington…last weeks predictions…2-1, 5-2 the past two weeks
