Week 9 - The Halfway Point…What do we know?

So far this year there are a few things that are clear…the NFC is better than the AFC…a Manning is the QB of the best team in the conference, and it’s not Peyton…the Patriots are still good, the Chargers and Seahawks are disappointing, and the Lions, Browns and Bengals are still bad…

So far, this years crop of rookies have lived up to the hype…on the offensive (and more collectible) side of the football we have for your consideration:

Matt Ryan (3rd pick): Has been very effective in leading a revitalized Falcon team to a winning record…

Darren McFadden (4th): Only injuries have kept him from making more of an impact…when he is one the field, he produces!

Jonathan Stewart (13th): Has given the Panthers the best rushing offense in the league, paired up with Deangelo Williams…

Joe Flacco (18th): He is at the helm of a quietly effective offense that has Baltimore a the top of their division…

Felix Jones (22): Before getting injured, Jones was beginning to take carries from marion Barber, no small feat considering how effective Barber has been…

Chris Johnson (24th): Leads rookies in rushing and his team is the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL…not a bad start…

Eddie Royal (42nd, 2nd round): Leads rookies in receptions and combines with Brandon Marshall to give Jay Cutler a lot of weapons…

Matt Forte (44th, 2nd round): second in rushing, third in receiving for rookies…a big reason the Bears are leading their division…

Tim Hightower (149th, 5th round): may be the steal of the draft as he has pushed Edgerrin James to the background and is tied with Forte for rookie touchdowns with 6…

Games of the week: Green Bay @ Tennessee, Dallas @ NYG, NE @ Indy, and Pit @ Washington…make mine The Titans, Giants, Patriots and Redskins…
